  1. Tamil Nadu residents who have completed their 10+2 exams can apply for TNEA. Nativity Certification need not be a part of them.
  2. Candidates who have completed the 10+2 Std. or an equivalent programme from institutions of higher learning outside of Tamil Nadu can also apply. They must submit a duplicate copy of their nativity certificate, but it must be a soft copy or an e-Certificate that has been digitally signed.
  3. Children of Central Government employees are also eligible to apply for admission, regardless of where they were born, as long as their mother, father, or guardian (only if both parents are deceased) have been continuously employed in Tamil Nadu for the past five years, as evidenced by certificates from the parents’ or guardian’s employers.
  4. All Indian Service Tamil Nadu cadre officials’ wards can also submit an application for admission.
  5. Wards of Tamil Nadu employees who have worked continuously for the previous five years in the public sector or at government-recognized institutions are also eligible to apply.
